A thief who was caught trying to steal personal hygiene products three times has been jailed.
Christopher Reid, 45, was caught by security guards as he tried to smuggle razors, toothbrush heads and aftershave under his coat.
Reid, of Victoria Road, Worthing, was seen taking 19 Oral B toothbrush replacement heads worth £151.81 from Boots in Churchill Parade, Rustington, in September.
He was also spotted stealing three packs of Gillette razor blades worth £25.41 from Boots in Montague Street, Worthing, in October.
Security staff who stopped him outside Debenhams in Churchill Square, Brighton, last November 4, found six bottles of Armani aftershave, two bottles of Ralph Lauren aftershave, and two bottles of Dolce & Gabbana aftershave, worth £259 in total.
Claire Ellis, prosecuting, said Reid told police he had intended to sell some of the items and apologised for his actions.
Worthing magistrates were told on Tuesday that Reid had similar previous convictions.
He was sentenced to three months in prison after admitting three charges of theft.
