One of the oldest inns in England has been sold.
The 600-year-old Bull Inn in Ticehurst, near Wadhurst, sold for about £725,000 to a first-time pub buyer.
The property was built between 1385 and 1425, although it only became a pub in the late 19th Century.
The building, set in four acres, has two bars, exposed oak beams, large open fireplaces and quarry tiled floors.
Simon Chaplin, of estate agents Christie and Co, said: "The high level of interest highlighted the strength of the market for quality inns.
"The sale completed 16 weeks from when we were asked to place the property for sale."
The Bull Inn's owners since 1998, Michael and Louise White, are now taking a break from the pub business.
