Coronation Street killer Richard Hillman will be showing his good side when he opens a celebrity auction in Sussex.
Hove-based actor Brian Capron, who plays the Street's murderer, will lead the bidding at an auction in aid of Uplands School for children with learning difficulties.
The school, in Lynchet Close, Hollingdean, Brighton, wants to buy a new minibus and fund a forthcoming trip to Belgium and Holland for 36 pupils.
It is organising a celebrity auction to be held at the Langfords Hotel, Hove, on Friday April 4.
Deputy headteacher Ray Knight said the school would welcome any donations of goods or services from individuals, companies or shops.
He said: "Brian Capron will be opening the event and we are hoping other local celebrities will also be present to help."
Items for auction will be published in a catalogue before the event. Anyone with items of to offer can contact Mr Knight on 01273 558622.
