I was impressed by Norman Baker's accurate and cogent arguments against a war with Iraq (January 11).
The US, the largest polluter, is hell-bent on world control by fair means or foul and, as Mr Baker correctly points out, any attack on Iraq will have nothing to do with weapons but everything to do with oil.
Israel is by far the greatest menace in the Middle East and, like North Korea, has weapons of mass destruction (WMD) yet you don't hear Mr Bush asking for this state terrorist nation to be disarmed.
As for poodle Blair, he simply follows his US master and trots out hackneyed but untruthful rubbish, hoping if he persists with it we might believe him.
Fortunately, the British people are not that gullible and since it was a senior US inspector, Scott Ritter, who stated Iraq did not have WMD, Mr Bush knows his lies will be found out.
Hence his every dirty trick to try to avoid inevitably having to admit he was wrong, thus defeating his excuses for a war.
