A group of young people from Sompting is putting on a breakdance show to raise money to help fund extra skateboarding facilities.
The show has been organised by young people who attend the village's new junior youth club.
The club is open to any youngster between the ages of ten and 14.
Members will demonstrate skills learnt on a recent five-week breakdance course.
The Adur Community Safety Partnership financed the course and the sessions were run by the local Gravity Project.
The project was set up in partnership with Adur, Horsham and Mid Sussex District Councils, West Sussex County Council, Sussex Police, South East Arts and Children In Need and gives young people the opportunity to get involved in dance and music activities.
Adur District Council chairman Liza McKinney said: "These young people are a real credit to their community by raising money so all the youngsters in the area can benefit from a new skate park.
"I really do think it is great to see young people helping themselves.
"I support skateboarding and BMX biking - they are such good sports for young people."
All the money raised from the breakdance show will help fund extra facilities at the village's skate park, which is due to open at the end of March.
The show will take place at Sompting Community Centre, tomorrow at 6.30pm Any young people interested in joining the junior youth club are invited to a new-members evening on January 23.
