I must express my deepest admiration for Brighton and Hove City Council's department of road congestion and pollution.
The new traffic lights being installed just above the crossing of Beaconsfield Road and Springfield Road and the associated narrowing of the main London-to-Brighton road should give immense improvements to their cause.
First is the loss of ability to travel on the left of the traffic queue on Beaconsfield Road and turn left up Springfield Road.
However, the general narrowing of the road should ensure far longer queues to get into town so levels of pollution should rise accordingly.
This crossing being completely unnecessary only increases my approbation. Well done, chaps.
