Fears are growing for the safety of a teenage girl seen struggling with the driver of a car in West Susssex.
Witnesses reported seeing a blue Audi travelling erratically on the westbound carriageway of the A27 at Chichester.
The girl, aged about 17 or 18, appeared to be trying to get out of the car, driven by a man in his 20s who had cropped, shaven hair.
The teenager had long, loose blonde hair, was slim and wearing a brown coat.
The car was seen in Chichester at about 12.30pm yesterday and shortly afterwards was found burnt out in Hillsea, Hampshire.
There was no sign of the girl or the driver.
Sussex and Hampshire Police are appealing for information.
