A man is being treated for head injuries after he was found semi-conscious in a playground at a beauty spot near Eastbourne.
He was discovered early today in the play area next to the Beachy Head Hotel.
The man, aged between 20 and 30, was taken to Hurstwood Park Hospital, Haywards Heath, which specialises in head injuries.
Police are seeking help in identifying him.
He is white, of medium build with short, brown hair.
He wore a black Nike shell-suit jacket with a light hoop around the middle and a metal Manchester United badge pinned to the chest.
He had a dark blue Ben Sherman V-neck T-shirt, a pair of Polo denim jeans and size seven white Puma trainers.
The man has several tattoos including one which depicts a heart, the name Callum and a date of birth, November 11 1996, below it.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said today: "Anyone who knows the identity of this man, or who may have information about him, or about his injuries, should call Eastbourne CID in confidence on 0845 6070999 as a matter of urgency."
