After many months without its main museums, Brighton and Hove will soon be back at full strength.
Brighton Museum in Church Street opened to great acclaim last year.
Now culture bosses are hoping there will be a similar welcome for Hove Museum in New Church Road.
It's taken far too long to get this museum restored because of bodges such as trouble over planning permission.
As a result, city people have been deprived of it for more than 18 months.
Now they will hope and expect the result was worth all the time and money - £900,000.
Hove Museum has always been the poor relation of its big brother in Brighton. At one time, Hove Council even sold some of the treasures which had been given to it by residents.
But it is a handsome building, with plenty of potential, and previews have been encouraging.
Much has been made of the unlikely fact that Hove was the founding resort of film and there is plenty of local interest.
The museum has also used some of the fantastic toy collection possessed by the city, most of which is still in store.
Now this job has been completed, attention should be turned to other museums such as the Booth, which is badly in need of a new building.
