Wick gave themselves a relegation lifeline with an impressive 2-1 win at Sidlesham in County League division one.
First-half goals from Steve Poulton and Mark Price gave Richie Reynolds' team three valuable points in their battle to beat the drop.
Reynolds, whose side remain second from bottom, said: "It was three well earned points but we need a few more.
"We need to win seven of our remaining 11 to stay up. I think we can do it. We have players coming back. If we play like we did on Saturday we stand every chance."
Richard Davies scored his 25th of the season for Sidlesham in the second half but it proved no more than a consolation.
