Lewes caused another Cup upset as they won 3-2 away to premier division side Harrow Borough.

Home goalkeeper Kaita Karamoko had no chance with the opening goal in the 21st minute as Paul Kennett won a loose ball and slid it across the area for Graham Harper to let fly with an excellent finish from wide on the right.

Lewes doubled their lead on 55 minutes when a poor clearance from a Matt Allen cross presented the ball to Danny Davis and he scored with a shot on the turn.

Two goals in a minute on the hour mark brought Harrow level. The first came from Andy Aransibia closely followed by a 25 yard effort from Clement Lopez which went in off the underside of the crossbar.

The Rooks regained the lead on 68 minutes after an initial header from Marc Cable was parried by Karamoko only for Tony Reid to tuck away the rebound.

Ten minutes from time Russell Tanner preserved the lead for Lewes with a magnificent one-handed save to deny Chris Jones and this was followed by three more in the closing minutes to ensure the victory as Harrow committed everyone to attack.

The Sussex Senior Cup ties between Worthing and Horsham YMCA plus Pagham and Chichester were both postponed last night due to waterlogged pitches.

Meanwhile, Crawley's Dr Martens League Cup tie at Burnham was also off along with the County League clash between Arundel and Selsey.
