Royal Navy firefighters turned out for a fire scare at a school - but found staff had already dealt with it.
A teacher at Hangleton Junior School off Dale View, Hove, spotted smoke in a cupboard yesterday morning, shortly after the firefighters' 24 strike began.
She dealt with smouldering papers just as fire crews arrived.
Headteacher Terry Clarke said: "It was a very minor incident but staff and the military were all very good."
The cause of the incident is being investigated.
