For the first time in its 36-year existence, the Band of the Royal British Legion (Lancing and Sompting Branch) is without the name of Ives in its ranks.
Norman Ives has announced his retirement through old age.
The band is looking for brass musicians to replace him and other members to assist through its very programme for the year.
The band meets on Monday evenings at 8pm in the Legion HQ in Culver Road, Lancing.
