I would like to know just what Nick Hearn has a problem with?
I wonder just what part of Brighton and Hove this bloke comes from (if, indeed, he is from the city originally anyway)?
What possible harm can come of exploiting what is little more than waste ground for the use of all Sussex residents (Lewes FC in last season's Cup, for instance)?
Concerts could be scheduled there and so on - even Billy Graham at a pinch.
The point is, what is his gripe? It's a little thing called progress which brings with it employment but I guess you are okay there, aren't you, Mr Hearn?
If you are worried about losing grass, I suggest you move to the Outer Hebrides - there will be enough for you there.
