Pop princess Sarah Whatmore was top of the pops when she popped into Southern FM's studios for an interview.
The 20-year-old singer, who found fame with the television talent show Pop Idol, chatted to DJ Dan Gasser about life after the competition during the interview yesterday.
Manchester-born Sarah failed to reach the final ten in the Pop Idol competition.
She found fame when she reached number six in the charts with her first single, When I Lost You.
Sarah did not get into the final ten but she was offered a record contract almost as soon as she was voted off the show.
The Britney look-a-like made it through the Pop Idol auditions, only to get beaten in one of the heats by Rik Waller, Darius Danesh and Aaron Bayley.
Simon Cowell, whose mother Julie lives in Ovingdean, controversially snapped her up, planning to turn her into the next Kylie Minogue.
Sarah will be appearing on the TV show CD:UK tomorrow.
