Radio presenter Zoe Ball spoke today of her relationship with musician Dan Peppe.
She said her friendship with the DJ "developed" after she parted from her husband Norman Cook last month.
For the last few weeks, Zoe has been living in London while her husband, aka Fatboy Slim, remained at their seafront home in Hove.
In a statement released today, Zoe asked for her and her family be treated "graciously" to allow them to get on with their lives.
She said: "I am trying very hard to conduct my personal life away from the eyes of the Press but this is proving impossible so there are a number of things I want to say in the hope you will now give me some time and space."
Zoe, who is taking a break from her job at London radio station XFM, said: "I left Norman at the beginning of December. There were problems in our marriage that had arisen and I had subsequently met someone else.
"I told Norman in December this was the case - he didn't want to know the name or any other detail.
"My friendship with Daniel Peppe has developed since then.
"Being there for my son Woody is vital. He has been spending three days of the week with me in London and we have been doing all the usual mother and son stuff together."
She added: "Please be gracious enough to leave us all to get on with our lives - Woody, Norman, his family, my family, Daniel Peppe and his family. Thank you."
