A diving operation has achieved another first.
The Brighton Dive Centre in Kemp Town, has become the city's first Padi-authorised five-star dive centre to be recognised by the international dive training organisation.
The award means the centre can arrange instructor-level training and is a step towards becoming a instructor training centre, which it hopes to achieve this year.
It was already the city's first Padi-authorised dive centre.
Co-founder Rob Breskal said the award reflected the loyalty of the centre's customers.
He said: "Training is the lifeblood of our business and if customers didn't come back to learn more skills and do more courses we wouldn't have been able to achieve this standard."
The centre was formed in 1998 by Mr Breskal and Ian George.
Mr George said diving was one of the fastestgrowing sports.
Mr Breskal said: "We expect this summer to be our busiest yet."
