A police station has extended its opening hours to be more accessible to residents and visitors.
Worthing Police Station is now open between 8am and midnight each day, instead of 8am to 6pm.
District commander Chief Inspector Russ Whitfield said: "Visitors are now able to come in and discuss issues that concern them right up to midnight.
"By providing a more accessible service than ever before, through both the local station and by being more visible on the streets, people should feel reassured.
"My aim is to make Worthing a safe and attractive place to live and work."
Neighbourhood Support Officers will staff the front counter at the Union Place station as a pilot project to bring policing closer to the community.
They will also support the police officers and work closely with Neighbourhood Policing Teams to help speed up investigations and ensure an improved service to victims and witnesses.
