A van driver from Firle has died almost five months after he was involved in an accident during a freak storm.
David Rowsell, 69, died at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton on Saturday.
His camper van was involved in a collision with a Jaguar on the A27 near the Beddingham railway crossing on September 9.
He was taken to hospital with a broken hip, leg, knee and ankle.
A 35-year-old man and a dog were both killed in the collision, which occurred during extreme weather.
An inquest into Mr Rowsell's death has been opened and adjourned.
