Richard Midgley showed free throw poise to help California Golden Bears get back on track in the Pac-10 Conference.
The freshman guard from Burgess Hill hit all four of his attempts from the line in front of 8,753 home fans in Corvallis as Cal won 84-71 at Oregon State.
He also fired a three for his seven points but the contest was dominated by Cal forward Amit Tamir, whose seven successes from behind the arc tied a venue record set by Seattle star Gary Payton.
Bears lost 95-80 at Arizona, despite Midgley connecting with three of his six three-point efforts.
The Bears (8-2 in conference) complete a run of away games by going to Oregon Ducks in Eugene, tipping off at 4am tomorrow our time.
Danny Midgley sat out two games for UMM Clippers in Maine due to a knee problem but was declared fit to take on Lyndon State and St Joe's this weekend in Vermont.
Midgley had two points, two rebounds and a steal in limited time during the 14-point reverse to leaders Husson.
UMM are in fifth place and Midgley admitted: "We need to win both games this weekend to continue our push to get a top three spot."
