What a disgrace. I refer to the decision to allow developers to knock down The Quadrant pub, in Brighton.
When the scheme for redeveloping the block was given the go-ahead, we were all told it would involve preserving the pub and building around it.
Yet again, we have been sold short in the name of speculative short-termist property development.
When will we wake up and realise we are throwing away so much of what actually makes our city attractive?
