Bottom club St Leonards crashed to a 2-0 defeat at Corby despite dominating the first half.
In the second minute Tyrone Roberts got goal side of Stewart Marshall but he was thwarted by an agile save from Richard Lavin in goal.
At the other end Corby's Wayne Spencer saw his header plucked from under the bar by Greg Nessling while the only other noteworthy incident in the first half came when Andy Brown's header fell short but, after Roberts mis-kicked, Lavin safely gathered the ball.
The Steelmen were the better side in the second half, but they had to wait until the 75th minute to break the deadlock when winger Danny Maye's cross was knocked into his own net by Tony Cornelius.
Five minutes later Corby sealed victory when a long ball by Brown found Maye who cut in and slotted past Nessling.
