The report on Des Turner MP's reaction to the proposed siting of new sewage works (The Argus, February 4) prompted me to write.

I vote tactically for Des in General Elections and will no doubt continue to do so. For the Tories to say he is an uncaring MP is a travesty of the truth.

Nimby is a natural reaction but someone has to make a decision for such a vital issue. There are votes in it for those Tories but they would have to make a decision if in power.

Why did they not indicate their favoured site?
