A driver escaped unhurt when his car overturned and landed on its roof.
The Citroen Saxo careered off the A26 near the Beddingham roundabout, east of Lewes, at 2.30am today.
No other cars were involved.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said the car did not cause an obstruction because it went so far off the road.
The driver did not need treatment.
