S Smalls (Letters, February 6) is a little hard on the aged go-karters. He has obviously had a near-death encounter with an out-of-control speeding granny.

If I ever have to resort to using one I shall have a very loud bell on mine and have it painted British Racing Green.

I say, down with pushchairs in shops, especially when used as battering rams, reminiscent of Boudicca in her chariot.

Why not have a system of chaining them up outside (the pushchair, I mean) and let the little darlings use their legs?

Perhaps then they will not be so unfit and obese in later life.
