Armed robbers stole cash from a village off-licence after tying up a member of staff.
The two robbers entered Unwins in Keymer Road, Hassocks, threatened the employee with a firearm and told him to turn off the lights.
Money was taken from the till and a video tape, believed to be from the security system, removed.
The off-licence worker was told to go into a back room where his hands and mouth were bound.
One of the robbers was described as 28 to 33, 6ft, fat, with dark hair and stubble. The other was aged 26 to 28 and 5ft 6in.
The robbery took place on Sunday at 8.30pm.
