A woman has spoken of her shock at finding her beach chalet vandalised with racist graffiti.

The victim, who declined to be named, said it was the seventh time in less than two years the chalet, on East Worthing seafront, had been attacked.

On several occasions intruders had slept in the chalet and there was evidence of drug-taking and drinking.

In the latest incident, obscene racist graffiti was daubed on the walls. Police are now investigating.

The woman has called for increased security at night in the form of extra police patrols.

She said: "It is an absolute mess. This is the third time in ten days and the seventh time in 18 months the chalet has been broken into.

"The damage is getting very bad but I am not going to be driven out.

"I am not going to put up with racist graffiti."
