I was amazed to read the implication from some correspondents that I fought in the last war to prevent people from other countries settling in the UK.
My concern was the opposite, aimed at breaking down barriers of race, creed and nationality, these being the main causes of the conflict in the first place.
Wasn't Hitler's strategy based on the concept of a master race?
