Tempers are starting to flare in Brighton and Hove with the local elections less than three months away and all four parties hoping to do well.
There have already been spats between the ruling Labour group and the Tory opposition over a controversial leaflet in Hove.
Now the Liberal Democrats have complained about a Labour leaflet in Regency ward, which they say could be misleading.
Labour used a spoof of the Liberal Democrat Focus leaflets, which have been flooding the ward for months, to point out faults in the party.
Most people picking up this leaflet would have realised it was a lampoon and a few might even have found it mildly amusing.
Lib Dems should realise if a mocking leaflet like Labour's is the worst they find in the campaign, they will have got off lightly.
