A model of plans for the development of Brighton's West Pier has been put on display.
Developers St Modwen want to put up the leisure buildings on either side of the pier on Brighton seafront.
With the backing of the Brighton West Pier Trust, the firm says the scheme is crucial for the viability of the pier's restoration.
But opponents including neighbours and conservation societies say the buildings would be too big.
The model is on show at Hove Town Hall from now until Brighton and Hove City Council's planning committee meets to decide whether to accept the scheme on February 26.
The proposals have been prepared after seven years work by the trust.
It has negotiated with the council, the Heritage Lottery Fund and English Heritage over finance and design.
