Sussex Sonics took on one of the top teams in the midlands and gave them a cup hammering.
Sonics beat MGK Panthers 55-22 in the first round of the League Cup to set up another home tie, this time with Orpington Storm.
They were 12-2 up in five minutes and, when Pete Bull added a superb three-pointer, they had a 17-6 lead to take into the first interval.
The margin was up to 31-11 at the half and Sonics also took the third period 16-8.
That allowed coach Gary Gardner to give all his players plenty of court time and they finished the job by taking the final quarter 8-3.
Sonics are next at home a week tomorrow when rivals Hampshire Harriers visit Moulescoomb (10.30am).
Sonics: Neil Armstrong 24, Carl Scott 14, John Spencer 8, Pete Bull 5, Tracey Spencer 2, Gary Gardner 2.
