A Brighton design duo have come up with the peace emblem of the future.

It will be emblazoned on chests at the march against war on Iraq today.

The design by Short Long Graphics, featuring two hands clasped to form a heart, will be used on T-shirts at the anti-war protest march in Hyde Park, London.

Cable Radio, based in Brighton, operates as CND's production company, co-ordinating the Hyde Park sound system and will be broadcasting live from today's event to web-surfers around the world.

The station was asked to design T-shirts for the event, and contacted Short Long Graphics who had worked for them in the past. The company, based in Ryde Road, Brighton, and run by Sarah Lu, 22, and Sarah Turton, 25, was launched in January with funding from the Prince's Trust.

Sarah Lu said: "We didn't want another T-shirt saying Stop the War. Our design is not directly about this war but more generally about peace."
