A woman whose body was discovered after a flat fire in Eastbourne has been named.
Pamela Ruth Hitchen, 43, was found by the emergency services in the lounge of her home in Upper Avenue at 11.40am last Thursday.
Neighbours called firefighters and paramedics when they smelled burning.
They said the Ms Hitchen had lived alone in the second-floor flat for a year.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious and investigations are continuing into how the blaze started.
