A blitz on untaxed and abandoned vehicles was under way in Hailsham and Heathfield today.
It has been launched to rid the streets of unsightly motors festering in neighbourhoods.
Teams from Sussex police, the DVLA and East Sussex County and Wealden District Councils were leading the crackdown this morning.
It follows on from similar initiatives throughout Sussex, including in Brighton and Hove.
In Hastings and St Leonards, 756 vehicles have been removed from streets since November.
Residents fed up with vehicles clogging their streets can report them via a hotline. Council bosses are pleased with the scheme, which led to more than 100 cars being crushed in a week.
