Oh, the hypocrisy of the Blair regime is beyond belief. After failing to persuade the British public to support war against Iraq, Tony Blair has played the "moral" card by saying Saddam Hussein has killed millions of his own people using poison gas and other equally terrible weapons.
The West armed and supported Saddam in the war against Iran.
The US supplied him with those same chemical weapons through Donald Rumsfeld's efforts in the Eighties.
Our governments seem happy to take the money for supplying dictators with weapons, then display mock surprise when the dictators use them.
If we go to war with Saddam, thousands of innocent people will die.
Many of our soldiers may also die, solely because our governments allow these weapons to be supplied to dictators such as Saddam. Shame on the lot of them.
Sorry, Ivor Caplin, as my local Labour MP, you will not have my vote next time round.
