Chichester maintained their unbeaten home record with an excellent 2-1 win against promotion-chasing Purley Walcountians in South Premier division one.
The visitors scored in the opening five minutes and dominated possession after that but Chichester goalkeeper Steve Jones made a number of fine saves to prevent them adding to their tally.
Driven on by Ian Dougal, Chi came more into the game in the second half and drew level when Andrew Savory scored from an acute angle, sending an unstoppable reverse hit flying past the keeper.
The winner came from a penalty corner which Clive Dunn struck past his brother in the Purley goal.
Chi player-coach Neil Pendle said: "It doesn't matter how long you have the ball, it just matters how well you take your chances."
Horsham enjoyed a tremendous 3-1 win over leaders Bracknell in Women's South division one.
Fran Malem scored twice and Kerry Pegler also found the mark as Horsham extended their winning run to four matches.
