The popular TV cartoon The Wild Thornberrys has been released as a feature film this month and now its creators have launched a game of the film for the PC and GBA.
The software package is essentially a cut down PC game version of the film with all the same characters and a remarkably similar story line to the individual activities.
This is recycling at its absolute best and, unfortunately, it shows.
The problem is not with the bright and cheerful looking graphics, which actually look much like all the other cartoon show graphics around today.
There is no beef with the storyline, which is just as banal as the original.
My objection lies with the perfectly revolting cartoon characters.
These critters are seriously ugly.
For those who actually enjoy the film, it is possible to relive exciting moments, including Eliza's escape from school, Debbie's wild motorcycle ride and rescuing rhinos from the evil poachers.
Personally, I would give the clips a miss but under sevens will love them.
