Rose Rainton has won the band one Southern Open Grand Prix final at Bournemouth.
The Bexhill ace used lethal top spin to outgun Kent player Angela Bristow 11-7, 6-11, 11-9, 14-12 in the final.
Rainton, who bids for her seventh Sussex women's title at Fontwell in the All-Sussex Championships on March 2, took out five oppponents on her way to the final.
Bristow took revenge in the singles groups section with victory over the Sussex Champion Horsham No.2 Dominic Hall collected a number of scalps in the main singles event.
He advanced to the third round but his quarter-final bid was thwarted 11-7, 11-5, 11-7 by No.5 seed Jason Sugrue, from the London Progress club.
Nigel Eckersley's comeback after a long rest from the sport with tennis elbow has been confirmed. He will test out his injury at the All-Sussex event at Fontwell.
