As the Falmer stadium inquiry progresses, I am surprised to hear protesters still talking about Shoreham harbour as an option.
As well as massive transport problems with Shoreham, it would take forever if it could be done at all, which is very doubtful.
So, offering Shoreham as a solution is like telling someone who has a short time to live that a cure should be available in ten years. Barring a miracle, the club would be dead by then.
The fact Brighton and Hove City Council owns the land at Falmer and is prepared to donate it has been an important factor in putting together a viable package.
