Many parents in Brighton and Hove are worried their teenagers will become drug addicts.
They are right to be worried in a city where one person a week dies from hard drugs and about £1 million is spent on them.
But they are not always so concerned about alcohol, which affects even more people and causes far more damage than drugs.
That's why a new service to help youngsters in danger of addiction pays as much attention to alcohol as it does to drugs.
It's important to reach youngsters in danger of addiction early so any problem can be nipped in the bud.
If professionals dealing with them spot the danger signs, teenagers can be given advice and support which should help them for the rest of their lives.
