A swimming pool facing a cash crisis is staging an open day to drum up new custom.
The event will be held at the Aquarena in Brighton Road, Worthing, on Saturday, March 1, following a damning council report into the venue's finances.
During the day there will be free taster sessions, ranging from aerobics to weight-training, with all classes lasting at least 30 minutes.
In the afternoon, activities include water aerobics, swim coaching and lessons, and indoor cycling on static bikes.
Regular tours of the machinery room, including viewing the heating and disinfectant equipment, not normally open to the public, will also be held.
Councillors recently backed plans to carry out a "minimal" upgrade of the venue, which was built in 1968 and would cost £17 million to replace.
Leisure officers launched an investigation after learning the Aquarena was expected to make £155,120 less than expected this year.
Councillors had budgeted for a deficit of £54,100. The borough council has agreed to inject an emergency £50,000 to upgrade facilities.
