Asian stand-up, outrage from Mark Little, First World War drama and a riotous look at marriage - they're our picks of the week.
LOVIN' A SORNA GORA, The Hawth, Hawth Avenue, Crawley, March 1
This mix of Asian stand-up, sitcom and sketches tells the tale of penny-pinching Mucky Singh's struggle to get his fifth daughter married on the cheap. It's about Asian integration in Britain and follows a matrimonial search from Southall to India, using the internet, Auntie Net and any other net to catch an eligible husband. Starts 7.45pm. £6.50. Call 01293 553636.
BOOGIE-WOOGIE BEACH BUM BAR, Komedia, Gardner Street, Brighton, March 6
Ex-Neighbours star Mark Little has set up this monthly event, a blend of unorthodox comedy, outrageous bands and silliness. The Hove-based comedian's aim is to provide an alternative to normal comedy nights. It has been a success with the only complaint being there is so much going on it runs into the early hours and those with work next day are forced to miss out. Starts 7.30pm. £10/£6. Call 01273 647100.
ACCRINGTON PALS, Barn Theatre, Southwick, March 5-8
Peter Whelan's play combines a love story with a reminder of the dreadful impact the First World War had on British society. It centres on the events of July 1916 and the Battle of the Somme. A harrowing piece with moving battle scenes, this is not for the weak-willed. A good cast from the Wick Theatre Company will do their damnedest to stir some emotions and make you think. 7.45pm, £6. Call 01273 597094.
MOMENT OF WEAKNESS, Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne, March 3-8; Connaught, Theatre, Worthing, March 10-15

This is a riotous look at modern married life and stars Michael Jayston (EastEnders) and Clare Buckfield (Two Point Four Children). Eastbourne: Starts 7.45pm and 2.30pm. £7 to £18. 01323 412000.
