Heathfield stay bottom of London Four South East after losing 17-8 at Old Dunstonian.
Levi Willis scored a try and Lewis Beale added a penalty for the visitors but it wasn't enough and Heathfield trail Guy's Hospital and Beccehamian.
Hove, inspired by the return of Ben Hampson, were always in control as they beat Guy's Hospital 41-27.
Top try scorer Struan Robertson crossed four times with Dom Henderson, Austin Jones and James Finlason also going over. Martin Lovell kicked three conversions.
Eastbourne moved out of the Three South East drop zone by scoring their first win in ten attempts, thrashing Betteshanger 51-16.
Ollie Cummings led the way with a try, five conversions and two penalties. Sam Gower (2), Danny Craven (2), and Adrian Norwood also got over.
East Grinstead are now favourites to go down after losing 16-15 at Brighton. They could have snatched an undeserved win but Stuart Sorrell was unable to land a difficult conversion after a late Guy Cook try.
Sorrell kicked a penalty and hit a post with another effort. Mark Barry converted Kevin Pike's try.
Liam Craig-Davies scored a try and Dave Tyrrell kicked two penalties but Lewes returned home frustrated by a 16-11 defeat at Tunbridge Juddian.
