Speedway fans will be able to follow Eastbourne Eagles and other teams in virtual reality this season.
British Speedway's commercial arm, Go Speedwill, produces coverage of four meetings per week in the Sky Sports Elite League and Premier League, which will be broadcast in real time via the internet.
A system of sensors around the tracks and on the bikes will translate the position of the riders into computer graphics, allowing fans to follow the races on British Speedway's official web site when the new season starts on March 15.
Terry Russell, managing director of Go Speed, said: "British Speedway will be the first sport anywhere in the world to have this technology available.
"We are sure those who follow the sport and those who love a wager will make this a fantastic success."
