A controversial art and design studio has been given the green light to open behind one of Worthing's most historic areas.
Councillors had previously refused permission for the scheme at the rear of listed Heene Terrace and West Mansions, near MGM Assurance.
The studio was earmarked for a triple garage, accessed via Heene Road along a concrete drive, but planners initially feared the business would generate too much traffic.
A new application was then submitted, pledging there would be no sales and exhibitions on site.
This has proved acceptable, despite five objections from neighbours in Heene Terrace.
Protesters argued the studio constituted an invasion of privacy but planners said permission should be granted on a temporary basis so the impact on flats can be monitored.
