More people are now eligible for bus passes after the Government lowered the age limit for men.
The current lower age limit is 65 but from April 1, men over 60 will be able to travel cheaply as well.
They must apply to Worthing Borough Council for the Sussex Countycard passes.
Existing pass holders need not apply, as they will be contacted before their passes expire.
New applications will be dealt with at the reception room of the Town Hall in Chapel Road from Monday until Thursday, March 20.
Kevin Masters, the council's assistant director of resources, said customers needed to attend in person to complete an application form.
They must produce proof of identity, such as a pension book, passport or birth certificate; proof of residence in Worthing, such as a pension book or utility bill; proof of age, such as a birth certificate or driving licence, and a recent colour, passport-sized photograph.
The passes will be issued between 10am and 4pm on the following dates: To people with surnames beginning with A-D on Monday; E-I on Tuesday; J-N Wednesday, March 12; O-T on Thursday, March 13; and U-Z on Friday, March 14.
In the following week, the schedule is A-D Monday, March 17; E-I Tuesday, March 18; J-N Wednesday, March 19; and O-Z Thursday, March 20.
