A series of projects that could change the face of Newhaven will be unveiled to residents tonight.
Open spaces in and around the town are set to be transformed by a major programme of works due to start shortly and be completed by Easter.
A public meeting tonight will allow residents to view and comment on detailed plans to develop four key town sites.
Lewes District Council and the Newhaven Community Association have secured funds for the projects from the Government's Single Regeneration Budget.
The projects centre around:
The Drove, the derelict site behind Brewsters/ Travel Inn Riverside Park, the land between Lewes Road and the River Ouse Fort Road Recreation Ground and Shakespeare Hall Castle Hill, adjacent to Newhaven Fort East Sussex County Council has been involved in much of the design work and will manage the ground works at each location.
Councillor Ann De Vecchi, leader of Lewes District Council, said the projects built upon the town's successful West Quay development, adding: "These exciting projects are a wonderful opportunity for Newhaven and represent the council's ongoing commitment to transform the town and provide facilities local people want to see.
Pam Perry, chairwoman of the Newhaven Community Development Association, said: "This is wonderful news for Newhaven. It provides much needed community facilities."
The public meeting takes place at the Hillcrest Centre, Hillcrest Road, Newhaven, between 6pm and 9pm.
