Peace protesters are being invited to debate the looming war with Iraq at a public meeting in Haywards Heath tonight.
Iraqi peace campaigner Amer Albazaz and film-maker Miriam Ryle, who directed Voices from Iraq, are expected to speak at the debate.
The meeting will highlight issues such as what information and help is available to the public should Sussex suffer a terrorist attack in retaliation for an invasion of Iraq.
Organised by the Mid Sussex Global Peace Campaign, it will start at Clair Hall at 7.30pm.
Poet, author, and peace campaigner David Roberts said: "We are concerned with public information and public understanding.
"The meeting will include questions and discussions. Everyone is welcome. People, whatever their opinion, can come along and take part."
Mr Roberts, of Burgess Hill, is also asking people to join a mass lobby of Parliament and public meeting at the Commons tomorrow.
The event is due to run from 3pm to 5.30pm and speakers are expected to include Malcolm Harper, director of United Nations Association UK.
For more information call Mr Roberts on 01444 831364.
