Worthing's entertainment venues have experienced a record-breaking spell.
The number of drama subscribers for the Connaught's Spring Playsaver season was the highest number yet recorded.
This followed the success of the first play of the new year, The Holly And The Ivy, which sold 2,346 seats.
Last year was also the best for cinema admissions at the Connaught and Ritz cinemas and ended on a high note with Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, which sold 18,923 seats, a box office record.
There has also been a strong start to 2003, courtesy of Lord Of The Rings, Chicago and Catch Me If You Can.
The total visitors to Worthing Museum in 2002 was 52,789, almost 11,000 up on the previous year.
Total sales in the museum shop were £11,681, the best since records began in 1980.
