Albion chief Steve Coppell has welcomed his attacking options for Saturday's Hart-to-Hart against high flying Nottingham Forest.

Coppell has Gary Hart available again for the clash with Paul Hart's promotion chasers at Withdean.

The former Stansted striker's return from a four-match suspension offers alternative support for top scorer Bobby Zamora.

"Just the comfort of having your best players around makes all the difference," said Coppell.

"Options are important and it is good to have that extra player. Competition brings the best out of most players."

Hart, on target in the 3-2 defeat at Nottingham Forest in November, was showing his best form of the season alongside Zamora prior to his ban for a controversial red card against Wimbledon and five bookings.

"He is chomping at the bit because he has missed four games," Coppell said.

"He was proving to be an important part of the results we were getting with his workrate and ability up front.

"He looked upon it as his chance and he was determined to take it."

Coppell casts his eye over Hart and fellow forward contender Graham Barrett in the Reserves against Portsmouth at Worthing today (2pm).

Anthony Rougier currently holds the aces in the intriguing three-way battle to partner 11-goal Zamora.

The Trinidad and Tobago international has been preferred to Barrett in Hart's absence, but Rougier's month on loan from Reading expires with the visit to Ipswich a week on Saturday.

Meanwhile, versatile Icelandic international defender Ivar Ingimarsson is with Albion on loan from Wolves until at least the home game against Preston on April 12, as long as no other midfielders join broken leg victim Keith Andrews on Wanderers' injury list.

Paul Ince completes a two-match ban for Wolves at Reading tonight, while the Seagulls' next hosts Sheffield United entertain Burnley.

The Albion first team players resumed training yesterday after a rare Monday off with no fresh injury worries following the weekend home win against Rotherham.

Elsewhere in the First Division last night, Ipswich fought back from a goal down to draw 1-1 at Crystal Palace while a late penalty from Neil Shipperley earned Wimbledon a 3-3 draw away to Gillingham.
